You got a project, We have the Talent!
Christophe Beauregard is a French photographer who lives and works in Paris. His atelier is located in the Bateau Lavoir of Montmartre. He exclusively portrays women and men in their apparent singularity. Yet beyond these flattering, well-framed and well-lit pictures, Christophe strives to capture the tension between the onlooker’s desire to observe and the characters and personalities of the sitters. The artist places the issue of artifice and pretence at the heart of his research. His work deals with ambiguity, language tricks and sensorial devices (music, lighting, costumes, etc..) operated or invented by anonymous people. His images are always the result of a staging and a photographic composition, between documentary and concept.
