Fabienne Auzolle studied history of art at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris, then followed in applied arts, specialising in ceramics. Fabienne works alone and her pieces are made entirely by hand from clay and enamel. She works on ceramic sculpture of women or on wall art installations. Strongly inspired medieval sculptures of « vierges noire » in the Auvergne area of France, she also draws from 17th century paintings by the likes of Nicolas Poussin and Philippe de Champaigne.
